The embedding index

After Step 4, onboarding asks which model builds the namespace's search index. There are two cards.

• Platform default. Use the Scirix-managed embedding model. Always available.
• Custom embedding provider. Use one of your own providers. This card is only enabled if a provider you added in Step 4 has the embedding capability. Otherwise it shows: "Add a provider with the embedding capability in Step 4 first."

If you use managed models, pick Platform default. It needs no configuration.

If you pick Custom, choose the provider from the dropdown. Only enabled providers with the embedding capability are listed.

Click "Continue to learning" to finish model setup and move on to Step 6, where Scirix indexes your code. See Learning the namespace.
